100th Anniversary Committee needs your help!
Next year St. Michael's and St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be celebrating 100 years !
As we preparing to mark this occasion, we need your help!!
The 100th Anniversary Committee is asking for the community's help to gather photos and memorabilia of the history of St. Michael's and St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
If your family has photos or memorabilia that you would be willing to share with our Committee, to possibly be used in photo exhibitions during the 100th anniversary celebration, please contact either Lesya Lucyk at llucyk3 `at` gmail.com or Julie Pawluk at jmpawluk `at` gmail.com.
If you have photos, please identify who is in the photo, the year of the photo, and any other identifying information. If you have any other memorabilia, such as concert programs held at St. Michael's, banquets, visits by dignitaries, etc, over the years, that would also be of interest.
Finally, we would like to contact previous parish members and, if possible, relatives of church founders. Thus, if anyone has contact information for such persons, such as addresses or email addresses, please forward that information, also.
Thank you for any assistance you can provide!
The Orthodox Church is Beautiful!
Our parish brings together people of all ages, professions, and backgrounds. What unites us is our shared faith, nurtured by the enduring spirit of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
In our pews, longtime members—some descended from our church’s founders—worship alongside recent immigrants from Ukraine, creating a vibrant and welcoming community.
